Most romantic films end, when the couple find each other. Are We Lost Forever turns this setup upside down, as it is a love story beginning from the end, the moment of separation between two men, Adrian and Hampus.

The film offers a look into relationships and the bittersweet reality of breaking up, in which challenges are caused by splitting up the shared items and updating relationship statuses on social media. It isn't easy for the men to let go, as they both separately struggle with jealousy, regret and moving on. Debut director David Färdmar insightfully depicts the break-up process and the love that the men continue to have for each other.
