The always outspoken British veteran filmmaker Ken Loach presents us with an unusual love story. Casim is a second-generation Pakistani immigrant, while Roisin is an ordinary single female. When the pair gets to know each other, prejudice raises its ugly head in the communities of them both. In the end, however, the film is one of the most optimistic among the director's works.
