The good old eye logo got a new look in 1999!
| | In 1999, Espoo Ciné was organized already for the tenth time. A couple
of years back, the Festival had been extended to span six days, and the
organizers decided to stick to the new convenient duration. The Ciné
silver screens were dazzling with French stardom, tales from Europe and
India, Finnish novelties from the past year and, exceptionally, also
short films. Nocturnal creatures were treated to fantasy and horror,
and, for the first time in the Festival history, Espoo Ciné got to
award the Méliès d'Argent prize for the best European fantastic feature
film.
To mark the anniversary, Espoo Ciné organized a special
jubilee exhibition illustrating the 10-year-long history of the
Festival with festival prints and photos.
