| Espoo Ciné International Film Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary
this year! The first impulse for the activity was given in November
1987 when Ilkka Kalliomäki, Pertti Artell, Vesa Ville Mattila, Liisa
Suominen and Peter Toiviainen founded the organization Espoon
elokuvanystävät (”Espoo film lovers”) with the aim to start off a film
festival in Tapiola. In 1990, this idea was realized as the first Espoo
Ciné took place. |
