|The beloved Skin, skin by Mikko Niskanen is a depiction of four urban youths and their excursion to the countryside.
The theme of the movie described the values and feelings of the youth of the 1960's so that they recognized themselves from the depiction. Skin, skin became a huge success and it received six Jussi -awards the year it was released. Also the music composed by Kaj Chydenius was well received by different generations.
A sing-along event will be held at the Amfi area at Espoo Cultural Centre by the Library band Helmetin enkelit at 16.30. The songs are composed by Kaj Chydenius. The event will take place at Tapiola Library if the weather is bad.
Director: Mikko Niskanen
Mikko Niskanen (1929-1990) was an eminent Finnish TV and film director, actor and professor. Winner of a total of six Jussi Prizes for Best Direction, Niskanen is mostly remembered from his debut Pojat (1962) and Kahdeksan surmanluotia (1972).
