|What do animals feel? Why are dogs seen as pets and cows as food? Can meat be eaten with a good conscience? Maud Alpi reflects on these questions with a documentary fiction that shows the life of a slaughterhouse from the animal's point of view. Still Life is a visually strong film that will send shivers down your spine.
The protagonist's thoughts about life and the tranquil moments with his dog balance the heavy atmosphere and make the film seem more humane. Even though the film doesn't create a judging atmosphere, it will definitely make the viewer think twice about their dietary habits in the future.
